So my iMac has been a turd for the past 2 years. Graphic glitches and random lockups. So I started it in safe mode. computer works okay. still tons of graphics problems, but less that before. Red entity mac os. and I can use the computer.
So I pulled all my login items out, uninstalled preference panes, TRIED permanently turning off quartz extreme (http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php? 11 years mac os. . 4190553112) but that didn't seem to affect it.
as soon as I reboot into normal mode, it locks up again. safe mode is still okay (comparatively.)
What else am I forgetting to disable? the fonts and stuff seem rather benign, I don't really have that many installed.
